At 195HP There’s A New Horsepower King For 2020
CAN-AM looks to reinforce its state of performance authority with the introduction of a new Maverick X3 Turbo RR engine. Featuring an industry leading 195hp and a 135 lb-ft of torque, the proven inline triple uses a bigger turbo, and intercooler. Increased airflow through a less restrictive airbox also helps to build it’s extra 23hp and 11 lb-ft of torque. Reliability is further increased with new more durable pistons and an increased cooling capacity.The CVT gets revised calibrations to optimize and accommodate the new found ponies and further improve clutch belt life expectancy.
The new 195hp Turbo RR power plant does not replace the well received 174hp models but rather adds another class leading option to the Maverick X3 lineup. The new more powerful 195hp motor setup will be offered as a Turbo RR designation in the both the 64” and 72” wide versions of the 2 seat X3 and the four seat X3 MAX. It will also be offered as a sub model offering on the RC rock crawling model and the Maverick X3 X mr Turbo RR and 4 seat X mr MAX mud specific models.
WHAT ELSE’S NEW
Aside from a couple bold new color ways, the premium Maverick X3 models will also get a massive new display for 2020. The new digital display is 19.3 cm (7.6 in) in diameter, with easy to read gauge options and a new interactive keypad for selecting driving modes, etc. The X package model X3’s will also get new 14” cast aluminum beadlocks. The X rs Turbo RR package Maverick X3’s will now get a more conventional tire set up with 9” wide fronts and 11” wide rears. This is said to reduce front-end kick-back, enhance traction and improve its ability to drive into the corners from the rear. Newly revised suspension calibration will give the 72” wide X rs an extra inch of ground clearance in comparison to last years model.
