Segway Super Villain Debuts and Podiums at Mint 400

At the American Off-Road Racing Championship (AORC) stop of the Mint 400 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Segway turned heads with a third-place finish. This podium result was particularly notable, as it marked the first time a Segway vehicle had ever competed.

Segway’s factory driver, Jacob Zuccone, along with co-driver Samantha Rode, secured third place in the UTV Pro Stock Modified class aboard the Super Villain. The vehicle is powered by Segway’s 2.0T GDi engine, producing 235 horsepower and paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission.

It appears there’s a new manufacturer and race team making their mark and putting competitors on notice. The Mint 400 is widely regarded as one of the toughest UTV races in North America, making this achievement even more impressive. With four more stops remaining on the tour, the Zuccone/Segway team shows no signs of slowing down—expect Zuccone to return to the podium.
