New Prowler 500 Models and Youth Alterra 110 Headline the 2027 Range

Over the past few years, Arctic Cat has weathered its share of uncertainty, but the company appears to have turned a corner. Under new leadership, there’s a renewed sense of direction and optimism that’s beginning to show in both its products and its dealer network. While the 2027 lineup doesn’t introduce an all-new flagship machine, it focuses on strengthening the brand’s core offerings with thoughtful upgrades, expanded model choices and value.

The biggest additions for 2027 are the all-new Prowler 500 and Prowler 500 Limited utility side-by-sides, along with the youth-oriented Alterra 110 ATV. Returning models also receive meaningful updates, including improved cab features and premium winches.

If this year’s introductions seem focused on the entry and mid-level market, we believe that’sdone by design. Building a strong foundation is often the first step toward long-term growth, and Arctic Cat appears committed to doing exactly that.

Prowler Family Expands to Six Models

Arctic Cat’s Prowler lineup grows to six models for 2027 with the addition of two mid-sized utility machines designed for property owners, hunters, farmers and recreational riders looking for capability without the size of a full-size utility vehicle.

The new Prowler 500 and Prowler 500 Limited are powered by a 443cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine mounted in a compact chassis that remains easy to maneuver while still delivering serious work capability.

Despite their smaller footprint, both models offer impressive numbers, including:

1,000-pound total cargo capacity
1,500-pound towing capacity
Selectable four-wheel drive
Rear dump cargo box
25-inch tires

The standard Prowler 500 rides on steel wheels wrapped in Maxxis tires, while the Limitedmodel upgrades to aluminum wheels with Duro tires, electronic power steering, a factory-installed 3,000-pound winch, back up lights and a cargo bed mat.

Full-Size Prowlers Receive Welcome Upgrades

Returning for 2027 are the Prowler 800 XT, Prowler 800 Limited, Prowler Crew XT, and Prowler Crew Limited, all powered by Arctic Cat’s proven 812cc fuel-injected three-cylinder engine.

Every full-size Prowler comes equipped with:

Electronic Power Steering (EPS)
Double A-arm front and rear suspension
Selectable 2WD, 4WD and locking differential
4,500-pound WARN Axon winch

One of the most notable improvements for 2027 is found on the enclosed Limited models. Arctic Cat replaces the previous windshield design with a fixed-position glass windshield complete with an integrated windshield wiper and washer, improving visibility and all-weather durability.

The Limited models also continue to feature factory-installed heat and the Arctic Cat G8 digital display, offering GPS mapping, vehicle diagnostics and customizable ride information.

For families or work crews, the six-passenger Prowler Crew models continue to offer one of the roomiest cabins in the utility side-by-side segment. Buyers can choose between the open XT models or the fully enclosed Crew Limited with heat and additional premium features.

Alterra Lineup Continues to Grow

Arctic Cat’s ATV lineup expands to nine models for 2027, offering machines that range from youth riders to serious utility users.

Leading the lineup are the Alterra 600 models, built around a chassis designed specifically for the 600-class engine. By positioning the engine lower and farther rearward, Arctic Cat improves rider comfort while reducing engine heat around the legs and feet.

Every Alterra 600 includes:

Independent double A-arm suspension
8.75 inches of suspension travel
Electronic Power Steering
3,500-pound WARN Axon winch with synthetic rope
Composite-over-steel cargo racks
Two-inch receiver hitch

The standard Alterra 600 EPS rides on 25-inch Kenda tires with steel wheels, while the Limitedmodel upgrades to 27-inch tires mounted on aluminum wheels, LED accent lighting, premium paint and the Ultimate Front Bumper package.

Two-Up and Mud Pro Models Return

For riders who frequently travel with a passenger, Arctic Cat continues offering the Alterra 600 TRV models.

The stretched chassis not only accommodates two riders comfortably but also provides added stability on rough trails. Like the single-seat models, the TRV Limited receives larger tires, aluminum wheels, premium finishes and LED lighting.

Mud enthusiasts haven’t been forgotten either.

The Alterra 600 Mud Pro returns with purpose-built features including:

High-mounted radiator
Snorkel-style engine intake
Elevated CVT intake and exhaust
28-inch Maxxis Zilla mud tires
Raised handlebars for deep-water riding

Mid-Size Favorites Continue

The dependable Alterra 450 returns in both standard and Limited trim.

Its 443cc fuel-injected engine and lightweight chassis continue to offer one of the strongest power-to-weight ratios in the class. Riders can electronically select between 2WD, 4WD and locking differential directly from the handlebars.

The Limited model adds aluminum wheels, larger tires, premium bodywork and a factory-installed winch.

The compact Alterra 300 also returns as an affordable two-wheel-drive ATV suited for light trail riding, acreage maintenance and first-time ATV owners.

New Alterra 110 Targets Young Riders

One of the biggest additions to the 2027 lineup is the Alterra 110, giving Arctic Cat an entry into the growing youth ATV market.

Powered by a 112cc electronic fuel-injected air-cooled engine, the Alterra 110 stands out by offering EFI—something still uncommon in this class. It also includes several important safety features, including:

Y-10 certification
Adjustable throttle limiter
Safety tether cord
High-visibility safety flag

The result is a machine designed to give young riders dependable starting, easy operation and built-in safety features that parents appreciate.
