The Kawasaki MULE side-by-side is a vehicle that has helped to define the industry, and after starting out as little more than a sketch on a napkin, the capable and tough vehicle is celebrating 30-years this summer. It took nearly seven years of development by Kawasaki’s Research and Development team to bring the first MULE to production in 1998. Codenamed “Pony” by Kawasaki engineers, the vehicle became to be known as MULE based upon the acronym Multi-Use Light Equipment. The latest iteration of the MULE, the PRO FXR, blends the worth ethic of other MULE PRO models with additional trail and sport focused features including improved styling, LED lighting, contoured seats, cast aluminum wheels, and sport inspired front and rear bumpers.
