We learned last week that Honda Canada and local Honda and Acura Dealers has contributed over $220,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to aid in the relief and recover efforts in the Calgary areas affected by recent floods. Honda Canada donated twenty five portable generators and fifty water pumps, valued at over $120,000 and then matched the funds that the Honda and Acura dealers were able to raise for a total of $220,000!
“Honda wants to support the many individuals and families devastated by the recent floods in the Calgary area,” said Jerry Chenkin, president and chief executive officer of Honda Canada Inc. “As we have responded to past natural disasters at home and abroad, supporting the Canadian Red Cross is an effective way to quickly help those affected.”
In addition to the monetary contribution and donation of portable generators and water pumps, Honda Financial Services is instituting measures to provide relief to customers directly affected by the storms.
