It’s that time of year, a time our email inboxes are in tune with the manufacturers and on the look out for new model announcements. This year we are keeping a very close eye on Arctic Cat. With new brass in place and a clear directive to dramatically step-up innovation and new model offerings in the coming years, model year 2017 is most likely the first go around where we will begin to see this initiative begin to bear fruit. A few weeks ago Cat gave us a peek with what they are calling their “first wave” of new models for the coming year. We expect subsequent waves to follow with much bigger news, but already in this early launch Cat is offering up six new models including a new youth model and very aggressive pricing on entry level models. Here’s the official word from Cat along with  some pics of the new quads and side-by-side machines.

Arctic Cat continues it’s focus on innovation and value for its first wave of 2017 ATV and side-by-side introductions, offering 27 class-leading machines for all categories of off-road work and play.

New colors, premium features and components, as well as a comprehensive selection of models in all off-road categories are additional highlights of the first wave of 2017 Arctic Cat ATV and ROV machines.

To make owning a fully featured mid-size model at an unprecedented value, Arctic Cat aggressively MSRP priced the Alterra 400 at $5,499 (US) and the Alterra 500 at $5,999 (US) Aggressive price points put the exclamation point on owning a full-size Arctic Cat 4×4 like the 500 at $5,999 (US) and the feature rich Alterra 700 at $8,999 (US).

“The 2017 Arctic Cat dirt products hit the bull’s-eye of innovative technology, real-world riding performance and class-leading value,” said Greg Williamson, Arctic Cat Chief Marketing Officer. “These models and the subsequent 2017 machines that we will introduce later this year will deliver the ultimate off-road experience to every enthusiast.”
